Old Chang See
New Singaporean cafe in Covent Garden
Address: 15a New Row, London WC2N 4PD
You can now try Singapore’s famous curry puffs at Old Chang Kee in Covent Garden. This is the first European outpost of this Singaporean chain, Old Chang See which was established in 1956, following a successful pop up. It is Singapore’s version ofCornish pasty, with a crunchy and buttery shell.
There is a variety of curry puffs and the chicken and potato one with boiled egg inside was £2.80 plus extra for samba sauce (at time of writing). You can buy skewers and rice and noodle bowls such as Laksa from the shop counter and then eat at the few tables at the cafe.
